WJIB, Boston’s “Memories Channel,” is dedicated to helping our listeners relive memories. It is not an “oldies” station.
Our broad musical range and unmatched variety is unique and special, not found on any Boston radio station or on the internet. It’s a unique blend of music from the 50s through the 1980s, with some familiar surprises from the 1940s and 1990s. We air live telephone requests from our community of listeners recalling their special songs, sharing endearing stories about why their special memory request reflects an important place in their lives. With a library of over 20,000 songs, we play almost any “memories” song requested. We stay generally within the rails of “soft and easy” music (sometimes sprinkled with some well-loved, upbeat favorites).
The WJIB request line is always open for you: 617 720-WJIB (9542)
We have an active Facebook group, now over 1,000 members and invite you to join, “WJIB Friends and Lovers”. It’s a wonderful place to interact and share with others in our WJIB community, and it’s free. Simply go to Facebook and search “WJIB Friends and Lovers and fill in the info. You will be admitted within a day or two.
Thank you for being part of our WJIB community, thanks for listening, and especially thanks for your support!
